once the baseball is finished, exploration mode is kicked into gear. an hour or so outside of vegas is the cute art-filled tiny town of nipton. on the way there, stop and see 7 magic mountains art exhibit. towering multi-colored stacked rocks in a stark desert setting is eye candy. near nipton village there’s an old abandoned gold mine that was recently graffitied by a group of artists over a 6 day period. they used plasma cutters and grinders to create negative space graffiti. our last stop was ethel’s chocolate factory in vegas. owner of the mars bar, ethel makes nice chocolate and their cactus garden is a must see!
